Convivia

Scotland is home to three main convivia in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Each had their own committee and runs campaigns, events and activites which are open to members as well as the wider public. Those that live outside of these areas can either join their nearest convivia or take part via the virtual group. Creating national campaigns that transend the individual convivia, the network groups brings together both the convivia, the ark of taste and the cooks' alliance.

Aberdeen is currently undergoing revitalisation and is looking for new commitee members. Contact Martin to find out more and register your interest.

Edinburgh, Slow Food Scotland's oldest group, runs regular events as well as supporting national campaigns such as time for lunch. From meals to tasting and educational visits, there is always something exciting on the calander.

Glasgow's focus is educational, creating resources such as the sustainable food directory and collaborating with local producers. Their campaining has included the grounds for recycling initiative, for which they were awarded funding from Slow Food International, and co-sponsoring the sustainable kitchen at Go Green in Glasgow in 2024.
